Pulse MIG welding up to 650 Amps.
For over 15 years, Enduron has been pulse MIG welding. Now on its second generation of pulsed power supplies, the company uses Fronius CMT machines from Austria. Originally developed to weld aluminum to steel, an ability unmatched to this day, these machines weld aluminum, stainless and carbon steel at very high travel speeds, and in many cases bring MIG production rates to jobs that otherwise would require the control and finesse of TIG. Enduron’s MIG team has years of experience with advanced welding machines, and is well known for their skill on everything from high hard armour steel to light gauge marine aluminum.
Industrial powder and wet painting in small to medium batches.
Any experienced painter will confirm that the quality of a coating begins with surface prep. On a military vehicle with CARC paint, a flaky, peeling paint job is ugly in all kinds of ways. Originally developed to supply military spec painted parts, Enduron’s preparation and pretreatment systems are the best available. Pretreat includes chromate and hex-chrome free conversion coat on aluminum, zinc phosphate on steel and electropolish passivation on stainless. Top coat is MIL-spec CARC paint, as well as industrial coatings in wet spray and powder application. Curing oven is 12’ x 10’ x 7’T.
Laser cutting of sheet metal up to 30mm thick.
Enduron’s Trumpf sheet lasers cut plates up to 5’ x 10’ and thickness to .50” aluminum, .75” Stainless steel and 1.25” carbon steel. These are among the most powerful flying optic machines made. Enduron has been cutting aluminum plate for over 10 years and is a recognized expert in the field. Laser cutters are accurate – within.002” anywhere on the bed – so parts come out exactly as designed. And the cuts are as narrow as .007” so parts can be nested closer together for better material usage.
CNC Press Brakes
Bending up to 190 Ton capacity - super precision, quick change tooling, and exceptional repeatability.
Super precision Trumpf press brakes are accurate to within .0005” Quick change tooling means short production runs and quick response. Three sizes of brakes cover the range. The smallest 36 ton machine is all electric for exceptional speed repeatability and energy efficiency. All machines use the same tooling, and programming software. All new since 2012, these brakes have the latest safety and control systems for maximum reliability and productivity.
Milling and turning on Turning, and vertical and horizontal machining centers up to 4 axis capability.
Enduron’s horizontal machining center processes parts up to 20 inches³. Its vertical machining centers have up to 20hp spindles. CNC Turning bar fed up to 2” OD, and chucking up to 8”. We have also recently added another horizontal machining center that allows for up to 120" of travel. These Haas machines are known for quick programming, simplicity and reliability. Combined with GibbsCAM Volumill® toolpath optimization and programming software, these machines deliver great quality and productivity on short runs.
Cut tubes up to 6” diameter in aluminum, stainless, carbon steel, and brass and copper.
This tube laser cutter is a well proven machine bed equipped with the latest fibre laser technology. At 3000 watts, Enduron’s tube laser cuts heavy wall aluminum, as well as brass and copper that were never considered before. Of course it cuts stainless and carbon steel, better than ever. This technology allows designers to cut slots and tabs in tubes with incredible accuracy. Parts can now fit together with laser precision, eliminating the need for expensive jigs, and speeding up prototyping and setup.

Absolute state of the art draw benders from BLM Group, the world leader in tube processing. In the last five years all electric tube bending has revolutionized the industry. While the previous hydraulic drives had plenty of power, they lacked the control and outstanding repeatability of the electric drives. Enduron’s benders cover the range in three sizes – up to .75”, 2.0” and 6.0” and they are all electric. The result is quick set up time – the first part is usually a good part, and ability to hold tolerance is up to 10x the older generation tube benders.
Assembly and Kitting
Adhesive bonding, threaded fasteners, torqueing of fasteners, riveting, kitting.
Whenever a joint has to perform reliably, the way it’s made is critical. Often, there is no way to inspect the assembly process after it’s complete. At Enduron, that’s called a Special Process, and we take special care with those. We develop, test and verify work instructions for Special Processes to customer requirements, and we qualify and document the processes and the operators. Once the assemblies are built, we can package the parts for domestic, international over overseas shipment, using reusable or one-way packaging. Kitting involves making up sets of parts usually keyed to an assembly line process. With its full range of in-house processes, Enduron is well positioned to deliver complex kits on tight time lines. The saving in handling and administration at the receiving end has been appreciated by many of its customers.
Faro arm CMM
Coordinate measuring machine with laser probe.
This machine is optimized for measuring tubes and excellent for measuring any part where customers require a CMM report. Its laser probe takes huindreds of readings per scan, without touching the work piece. This replaces the old contact probes that had to rely on operator finesse and patience to get a few dozen readings, and risked moving the tube in case of thin walled or long pieces. More readings means better statistical accuracy, and better fitting parts in the end. This measuring tool is also capable of feeding back deviations from nominal to the tube benders – a very accurate way of qualifying new tools and parts. It all adds up to quick set up times, shorter production runs and outstanding accuracy and repeatability.
Full submergence air testing at 7 psi to hydrostatic testing at 20,000 psi.
Enduron has a wide range of pressure test capabilities. That includes full water submergence leak testing of complex military aluminum fuel tanks welded from dozens of parts, proof testing copper brazed assemblies at 50 psi, nitrogen testing refrigerant tubes at 300 psi, and burst testing hydraulic hose and tube assemblies at 20,000 psi. We have the procedures to perform these tests safely in house.
